Adelaide winger Niamh Kelly has received a Goal of the Year nomination, following a snap during the Crows’ Round Six win against Gold Coast at People First Stadium.

Midway through the final term on Sunday, the Crows trailed by three points when the ball spilled out inside their forward 50.

Kelly scooped up the footy, used her strength to out-body her Suns’ opponent Meara Girva, side stepped around her close to the boundary line, before producing an incredible finish to slot through the goal.

Kelly’s major flipped the momentum Adelaide’s way, and began a final-quarter blitz for the Crows, in which they booted another three goals on their way to a 16-point victory.

Round Six voting closes on Thursday, September 25, at 9.30am (ACST).
