Adelaide has made one change for its Round Seven clash against Sydney at Unley Oval.
Irish defender Grace Kelly will return for her 50th AFLW game, after recovering from the minor calf soreness that kept her out of last week’s win against Gold Coast.
Kelly replaces young rebounding defender Brooke Smith, who has been omitted.
Adelaide Head of Women’s Football Phil Harper said Smith was unlucky to miss out, with Kelly earning her opportunity to come straight back in after an impressive start to the season.
“Brooke certainly played her role last week in what was just her fourth game of AFLW, and she certainly looked a lot more settled than she had in previous games for us,” Harper said.
“She’s probably fairly unlucky to miss out this week, but Grace had played all the games before getting injured and had been playing at a high level, so we were keen to get her straight back in.
“But it did fill us as selectors with confidence that Brooke was able to carry herself so well last week.”
The Crows will be looking to make it three wins on the trot, as they welcome fifth-placed Sydney to Unley Oval, a venue where Adelaide has never lost.
“They’ve got some really talented players, so it will be a tough challenge for us to overcome, but an exciting one nonetheless,” Harper said.
“We are really looking forward to playing them at Unley Oval, one of our home decks, and a ground that we pride ourselves on playing well at.
“The team that wins the contested ball at Unley tends to win the game, so we’ll have to win it at the source, and we’ve got someone playing her 100th game that is pretty good at that stuff.
“We’ll also need to kick some goals and make the most of our opportunities like we did in the last quarter last week.”
Adelaide takes on Sydney at Unley Oval this Sunday at 2.35pm.
The match will mark the Club’s 100th AFLW game, as well as Co-Captain Ebony Marinoff’s 100th.
