Adelaide forward Caitlin Gould could make her return from a broken wrist for Friday night’s Showdown at Norwood Oval.

Gould, who has missed the past five matches, needs to get through Tuesday’s main session to be available for selection in the critical clash against the Power.

Crows Head of Women’s Football Phil Harper said Gould’s recovery process had all gone to plan to this point.

“Caitlin pretty well did a full week of training last week and the plan is for her to do the main training session today (Tuesday) and if she gets through that she’ll put her hand up to play,” Harper said.

“It will be a very welcome return to the side for Caitlin if everything eventuates in the way we hope this week.”

After initially being ruled out for the season, Hannah Munyard made her return from a broken ankle in last weekend’s scrimmage.

Harper commended Munyard’s dedication to get back on the field, and said she would be up for selection this week.

“It was quite an amazing effort from Hannah, she copped a pretty significant injury in Round One, and to be honest we didn’t think she would be back for the rest of the season,” Harper said.

“So for her to get herself to the point where she was actually able to play in the scrimmage last week was a testament to the hard work and dedication she has put in.

“The plan was for her to play a half in the scrimmage, but she felt good at Half Time so she played an extra quarter which was great.

“She was a bit rusty, which was understandable, but to get three quarters in her legs will do her the world of good and she is up for selection this week.”

Irishwoman Amy Boyle Carr missed last week’s clash against North Melbourne after suffering a knock to the head in the game against West Coast.

She passed all the associated tests, but given her concussion history it was decided she would miss last week’s game, and should be available for selection against Port Adelaide.

Chelsea Randall continues to be monitored closely as she recovers from concussion.
