Two-time All Australian and three-time Club Champion Rory Laird has signed a one-year contract extension to remain at Adelaide until the end of 2027.

Laird was drafted to the Crows as a rookie in 2011 and has gone on to play 269 games for the Club to date.

The 32-year-old South Australian will this year embark on his 15th season at the Club, after playing 22 matches in 2025 averaging 24.1 disposals, 11.1 handballs and 3.5 tackles.

The veteran won the Malcolm Blight Medal as Adelaide’s Club Champion in 2018, 2021 and 2022, one of only five players to have won the award three times, and was named in the All-Australian team in both 2017 and 2018.

Laird said he was proud to extend his time with the Crows.

“I love playing for this Club and I’m excited to see what our current group can achieve,” Laird said.

“I have complete belief and trust in our direction and what we are building together, and I want to continue to help our playing list grow and improve.”

Crows Head of Football Adam Kelly said Laird was a true professional and the Club was delighted he had put pen to paper before the start of the season.

“Rory has been an incredibly consistent performer for many years now which is testament to his professionalism and dedication to making the most of his AFL career, this sets a wonderful example for his team mates,” Kelly said.

“His on-field achievements speak for themselves, but importantly, his commitment to the Club, as a senior player, through the years of our rebuild has been critically important and we have certainly appreciated his unwavering loyalty.”
