Adelaide has named a 23-man team for its Round One match against Collingwood at the MCG on Saturday night.

As the Club revealed on Wednesday, three players will line-up in their first AFL game for the Crows, with Toby Murray, Callum Ah Chee and Lachlan McAndrew all earning a spot in the side. 

It will be a memorable moment for Murray, who will play his first senior game alongside his older brother Nick.

Isaac Cumming and James Peatling have recovered from low-grade hamstring injuries sustained during pre-season to be named in the team, while Jake Soligo is also in the line-up after being on a managed training workload due to an irregular heartbeat.

Forward Riley Thilthorpe will take to the field after overcoming back soreness which led to him missing the Crows’ trial game against Fremantle a fortnight ago.

Adelaide Executive General Manager Football Adam Kelly said preparations had been solid and the squad was keen to open its campaign.

“It has been a strong pre-season and we are ready for Saturday night,” Kelly said.

“Our players and staff have been very deliberate in the way in which we have prepared for the season and for our opposition this week.

“Just like our Members and fans, we have been looking forward to the season kicking off and we can’t wait for Saturday night to come around.”

Chayce Jones, James Borlase, and Luke Nankervis have been named on the emergency list.

Adelaide faces Collingwood at the MCG on Saturday at 7.05pm (ACDT).

The match will be broadcast live on Fox Footy and Kayo, with a delayed telecast on Channel 7 Adelaide.

Adelaide’s non-selected players will line-up in the Crows’ SANFL trial match against Central District at X Convenience Oval (Elizabeth Oval) on Saturday at 3.20pm.
