Thebarton Oval holds some enduring memories for Adelaide forward Taylor Walker and he’s excited that Crows supporters can now create their own.
Walker visited the Club’s new world-class headquarters at Thebarton as it continues to take shape, with significant progress in recent weeks on the facility’s main building and oval.
“Visiting Thebarton does bring back memories because in 2015 we did a few training sessions under Phil Walsh at the ground,” Walker said.
“Those times are really close to my heart.
“So much work has been done at the ground to this point and the new facility on the eastern wing is going to be amazing.
“I know for a fact the players – both the men’s and women’s – can’t wait to get here, it’s so important and not just for those of us here now but for others into the future.”
Adelaide supporters can take their place at the Club’s new home by pledging a picket to the Thebarton Oval Precinct.
Fans can donate to have their name or message etched into a plaque affixed to the pickets around the boundary of the facility’s main oval.
The donation of a picket is $500 and is tax-deductable via the Australian Sports Foundation.
“To think that our members and fans can create their own lasting memory by having their names or a message recognised on a fence picket is really special,” Walker said.
“This place is for all of us, everyone who is part of our Club and it’s going to be a real destination.
“It’s super exciting to see the transformation and all the hard work that’s gone into making this move to Thebarton happen.”
