Adelaide wing Brayden Cook has received a Round Eight AFL Goal of the Year nomination for his match-winning major in Showdown 59.
The Crows entered the final 46 seconds of the game down by five points, and needed a quick goal from a centre clearance to steal a victory.
Cook positioned himself beautifully on the outside of the contest, and after receiving a handball from teammate Dan Curtin took off towards the goal.
The 23-year-old quickly steadied and produced a perfect drop punt to put the Crows in front by a point.
This is Cook’s second Goal of the Year nomination of the season, after he took out weekly winner honours for his classy checkside against St Kilda in Round Six.
