Adelaide defender Luke Brown is set to make his return to senior football in Saturday night’s Showdown at Adelaide Oval.

The 26-year-old played his first game back from an ankle injury in the Crows SANFL team last Friday night, with the reliable stopper earning an AFL recall for Round Eight.

Brown replaces midfielder Bryce Gibbs, who has been ruled out of this week’s clash with a back injury.

Crows General Manager of High Performance Matt Hass said Gibbs failed to train on Thursday morning after experiencing back spasms earlier in the week.

“He has improved over the last 24 hours, but wasn’t able to complete enough training to be available for this weekend,” Hass said.

The Crows and Power will meet for the 46th time on Saturday, with Adelaide leading the overall ledger 23-22.

The Power ‘home’ game will commence at 7.10pm ACST and broadcast live nationwide on Fox Footy and Channel 7 Adelaide from 7pm.

Adelaide’s SANFL team has a bye this weekend.
