Crows half-back Brodie Smith has been charged with engaging in rough conduct against Port Adelaide's Steven Motlop.

The incident - which was deemed by the Match Review Officer as careless conduct, low impact and body contact - occured in the third quarter of Saturday's Showdown 47.

Smith has been offered a $2000 sanction with an early plea.

The Club has until Tuesday morning to either accept or challenge the offer.

Port Adelaide's Hamish Hartlett and Dougal Howard were also charged following the match.

Hartlett has been offered a $1500 fine for striking Rory Atkins during the second quarter, while Howard was offered a $2000 fine for striking Jake Kelly in the third term.
