Kuwarna forward Darcy Fogarty has opened up on a pizza-fail that left teammate Ben Keays searching boxes in disbelief during a team trip to his farm in Harrogate.
The key forward joined Keays in the Toyota Tundra on this week’s episode of The Crows Show, with the pair heading down to Fogarty’s farm in the Adelaide Hills.
In a lighthearted chat with Keays, Fogarty revealed that a team gathering at the farm quickly turned chaotic after Fogarty took charge of dinner.
“I had about 30-odd here and I thought the best idea was to order a heap of meat lovers pizzas,” Fogarty said.
“I didn’t think anyone would search through every flavour and there you were standing up there for about 20 minutes.
“Then you cracked because I ordered 20 meat lovers.”
To which Keays added; “Where’s the Hawaiian, did you not get any Hawaiian?
“It was a great night - a bit of the pizza did get thrown around by some of the scallywags, but it was a great night.”
Fogarty said the property had become the perfect getaway when he was looking to unwind away from football.
The 26-year-old also spoke about his passion for agriculture, a career path he’s keen to follow post-footy.
“I love it, you can always get back out here and reset and see some family as well,” Fogarty said.
“I’ve got a really big passion for agriculture, so the farm is a little stepping stone.
“There’s some really good career paths that I am really keen to go down once footy finishes and hopefully I can explore them a little bit more, and learn more about the agricultural industry.”
