The Adelaide Football Club will celebrate the newest inductees to the Club’s prestigious Hall of Fame on Friday night at Adelaide Oval.
It will be Adelaide’s third Hall of Fame event, with the next inductees to join the 12 previously recognised for their enormous contributions to the Club.
The Hall of Fame was established in 2015 to mark the Club’s 25th AFL season.
Two-time premiership coach Malcolm Blight, players Andrew McLeod, Simon Goodwin, Tony Modra, Ben Hart and Mark Ricciuto, inaugural chairman Bob Hammond and inaugural general manager Bill Sanders, were the first inductees.
McLeod’s club record of 340 games included two flags, when he won both Norm Smith Medals, to go with his three Club Champion awards.
2003 Brownlow Medallist Ricciuto played 312 games, was captain from 2001-07, was in the 1998 premiership side and won three Club Champion awards.
Goodwin played 275 games for Adelaide from 1997-2010 and was captain in his last three seasons. He featured in both premiership sides and also won three Club Champion awards.
Two-time Club Champion Hart was the youngest player in Adelaide's inaugural squad at 16 and went on to play in the two premierships and become the Crows’ first 300-game player.
High-flying Modra, a century-goalkicker in 1993, booted 440 goals in his 118 games for the Club from 1992-98.
Six years later they were joined by inaugural Crows captain and 1992 Club Champion Chris McDermott, two-time premiership captain Mark Bickley, 300-gamer Tyson Edwards and three-time All Australian Nigel Smart.
Edwards and Smart also played in both AFL premierships.
The key criteria for membership to the Hall of Fame is that Inductees must have had a “profoundly positive influence” on the Adelaide Football Club.
The 2026 Hall of Fame panel, chaired by Crows Board director Imelda Lynch, included inaugural captain McDermott, CEO Tim Silvers, Phil Harper, John Reid, David Burtenshaw and Bruce McAvaney.
There will be coverage of the Hall of Fame event on afc.com.au and the Club’s social platforms.
