Three-time AFLW Premiership star Ebony Marinoff says the impact of trailblazer Erin Phillips should never be underestimated.
Phillips, who is the most decorated AFLW player, was inducted into the Adelaide Football Club’s Hall of Fame last week.
The 41-year-old’s record is unmatched and includes three Premierships, three All-Australians, two League Best and Fairest medals, and two Grand Final best on ground medals.
Marinoff played alongside Phillips at Adelaide until the now 41-year-old joined Port Adelaide ahead of Season Seven (2022) and she spoke on this week’s episode of The Crows Chat about her former teammate.
“She’s got every accolade under the sun, and it was only a matter of time before she was inducted into the Adelaide Hall of Fame, because she’s already in the AFL Hall of Fame,” Marinoff said.

“She always saw the game quicker than anyone else and that’s why she was able to perform at such an elite standard week-in-week-out.
“To play alongside her and to have that success was amazing. I’ll never forget the moment, we were in the changerooms at West Lakes and just being in awe when she would explain that she’d been in an elite sport environment for 12 years.
“We were all coming from Morphy Park, or Salisbury Footy Club and Erin Phillips was coming from the Dallas Wings and as an 18-year-old, you just pinch yourself.”
