Young Adelaide wingman Brayden Cook has signed a two-year contract extension ensuring he remains a Crow until at least the end of 2028.

The 23-year-old joined the Club via Pick 25 in the 2020 AFL Draft and has played 45 matches since the start of the 2021 season.

This season, Cook has come into his own, recording career-best returns in disposals, contested possessions and one percenters.

The South Adelaide and Happy Valley product has featured in every game this year for the Crows including a Showdown winning performance in Round Eight.

Cook said it was always his intention to extend with the Club.

“Growing up a Crows fan it was a dream come true to play for the Club,” Cook said.

“When it came to extending, it was a pretty quick conversation. I always wanted to stay here.

“I’m looking forward to continuing my development this season and well into the next two years as a Crow.”

Adelaide General Manager List Management Jarryd Roughead said the Club was beginning to reap the rewards of the 2020 pick.

“Cooky has really stepped up for us this season,” Roughead said.

“People can look at individual moments, like the Round Eight Showdown of course, but the truth of the matter is he’s performed to a really high standard consistently throughout the year.

“He’s starting to exert an impact on the game more and more and we look forward to seeing what he can achieve moving forward.”
