Adelaide’s new home at Thebarton continues to gather momentum, with further construction milestones bringing the Club's vision for a world-class headquarters closer to reality.
Providing an update on the project, Adelaide Football Club Chairman John Olsen said it was incredibly satisfying to see the transformation taking place at the site.
"There is a great sense of momentum around the site and, importantly, tangible evidence of the progress being made every day," Olsen said.
"What was once only a talking point or vision on paper is rapidly becoming a reality.”
The main training and administration facility is now becoming a feature on Adelaide's city fringe, with the full scale of the building clearly visible.
A significant recent milestone has been the completion of the glass installation and sunshades along the 154-metre eastern wing facade, further defining the striking appearance of the Club's future headquarters.
Construction is also advancing strongly on the western side of the development, where the match-day precinct is beginning to take shape.
Level 1 steelwork and roofing are now well advanced as work continues on facilities that will serve members, supporters, corporate and hospitality partners, and the broader South Australian community.
The precinct has been designed to become a destination where people can gather, connect and celebrate the Club for generations to come.
On the ground, extensive earthworks remain underway, despite challenging winter weather conditions. The drainage system is nearing completion, representing another key step in the process before turf can be laid on the future oval.
While there remains plenty of work to be done, Olsen said it was rewarding to see years of planning and collaboration coming to life.
“What makes this project special is that it belongs to all of us. It has been made possible through the efforts of many people in and around our Club, including the support of donors and members who share our belief in what this Club can achieve,” he said.
“Soon, we will have a home that not only supports the pursuit of success on the field but also strengthens the connection people feel to our Club.
“That is a legacy that will endure long after construction is complete.”
Supporters still have the opportunity to become part of the project through the Club's pledge a picket initiative, creating a lasting connection to the new headquarters with a named picket or personalised message surrounding the oval.
