Adelaide has made three changes for its Round 20 match against Collingwood at Adelaide Oval on Thursday night.
Key forward Taylor Walker headlines the inclusions and returns to the line up after being managed for last week’s trip to Sydney.
Executive General Manager Football Adam Kelly said Walker was refreshed after a weekend off and poised to become the first player in Club history to reach 700 AFL career goals.
“With the benefit of being managed last week and off the back of a particularly strong game against the Suns, we welcome Tex back into the team,” Kelly said.
“In recent weeks, Tex has gone ahead of Ben Hart and Mark Ricciuto on our all-time games record order and goes into the game needing one goal to reach 700 career goals.
“He is certainly in rare air with regard to his standing within our Club and the broader AFL industry.”
Fellow forward Finnbar Maley joins Walker in the line-up, alongside backman Nick Murray.
Murray’s inclusion was revealed by Senior Coach Matthew Nicks earlier on Wednesday, with Mark Keane set to miss due to illness.
Murray and Maley have both earned a recall following strong performances in the SANFL, according to Kelly.
“Nick has been a model of consistency at SANFL level across the past four weeks and has been pressing his claims for a return to the AFL side,” Kelly said.
“The opportunity has arisen for him this week and we have great confidence, given his form, that he will perform.
“We expect Finnbar to give us a strong aerial presence ahead of the ball, as that has certainly been the strength of his game across the season to date.
“His ability to do so will be important to the team’s performance.”
Forwards Brayden Cook (managed) and Darcy Fogarty (suspended) will join Keane on the sidelines this week.
Billy Dowling, Archie Ludowyke, and Charlie Edwards have been named on the emergency list.
Adelaide faces Collingwood at Adelaide Oval on Thursday at 7pm.
