Adelaide forward Callum Ah Chee will tick off a special milestone on Friday night, with the WA product set to play his first game for the Crows in Perth since arriving at West Lakes.

The West Australian has featured in the Crows’ past two games after returning from seven weeks on the sidelines due to a hamstring injury, and is now relishing a chance to play in front of his extended family and friends when Adelaide faces Fremantle.

“For me personally, I get to go back home (to WA) and play in front of my family and the fans back there for the first time in Crows colours, I'm excited,” Ah Chee said.

“Freo had a tough loss (last week) so they’ll be on edge, but we are looking forward to getting over there and ready for the challenge.”

The 27-year-old has endured an injury-plagued inaugural campaign with the Crows, but against the Tigers last weekend showed just how influential he could be when fit.

Ah Chee kicked two crucial goals for Adelaide in its win against Richmond, helping the Crows grit out a nine-point victory to keep within striking distance of the top four.

He said stringing a few games together had been rewarding and he was hopeful of being able to gain some consistency for the remainder of the season.

“Obviously, the year probably hasn't gone the way I've wanted it to from an individual perspective, but now it’s about hopefully having an impact at this time of the season,” the two-time premiership forward said.

“It's nice to have some consistency at AFL level now, and to have an impact as well, because that’s what I came here to do.

“I’m happy to be back out and doing what I love, and I’m just glad those two (goals) went through, it was nice.

“That's my main focus, to stay out on the park, and I’m looking forward to seeing what we can achieve.It was obviously a tough win (against Richmond), but a win is a win, and we move on to Freo."

Adelaide faces Fremantle at Optus Stadium on Friday at 7.40pm (ACST).

The game will be broadcast live on Channel 7 Adelaide, Fox Footy and Kayo.
