Adelaide has made three changes for its final minor round match against Greater Western Sydney at Adelaide Oval on Saturday night.
Dashing defender Wayne Milera returns to the line-up after missing the past three games due to a low-grade hamstring strain.
Crows Executive General Manager Football Adam Kelly said Milera would provide a boost to the team with his run off half-back.
“It’s great to have Wayne back into the line-up, season 2026 has highlighted what Wayne is capable of and it’s been one of our great success stories that he has produced the year that he has,” Kelly said.
“The professionalism, discipline and resilience that Wayne has demonstrated to reach the highs of this year has earned great admiration from all at the Club and his impact on the team's performances has been obvious and significant.”
All-time leading goalkicker and Club great Taylor Walker is back in the team after being managed last week, while Vice Captain Alex Neal-Bullen will also return, following his absence from Round 23 due to personal reasons.
The match will mark Walker’s last minor round home game, after the 36-year-old announced last week that he would be hanging up his AFL boots at the season’s end.
“What an occasion Saturday night promises to be as we collectively gather to celebrate the career of Tex Walker,” Kelly said.
“It’s hard to overstate the contribution that Tex has made to our Club given its significance, but perhaps the best measure is the unmatched adoration of our Members and fans.
“That love and respect has been earned by deeds beyond the white the line, through the way in which Tex has engaged with our people, led the Club, lifted people when they have needed lifting, and shared his journey openly and authentically.
“We are sure that the team understands the responsibility to celebrate Tex in that right way Saturday Night, that is to prioritise the Crows Way and put the team ahead of self.”
Neal-Bullen’s inclusion would help add experience to the team, according to Kelly.
“Alex returns from personal leave, (and he) is one of our hardest working players, his load across the course of the season has been significant,” Kelly said.
“While his absence last week was due to personal reasons, it may prove to be timely from a football perspective, as it has allowed him to rejuvenate ahead of our finals campaign, where Alex’s leadership will be of critical importance.”
Forward Callum Ah Chee will be managed for this weekend’s game, while James Peatling will miss the match due to injury.
Toby Murray has been omitted, but is named on the emergency list alongside Mitch Hinge and Oscar Ryan.
Adelaide faces GWS at Adelaide Oval on Saturday at 7.40pm.
The match will be broadcast live on Channel 7 Adelaide, Fox Footy and Kayo.
