Adelaide Skipper Jordan Dawson headlines a list of four Crows players nominated for AFL Players’ Association awards.

The AFLPA revealed the 2026 nominees for the player-voted awards on Monday, and Dawson is in the running for Best Captain, Most Courageous and Most Valuable Player.

Dawson is in his fourth year at the helm of the Crows, having taken over the Captaincy from Rory Sloane ahead of the 2023 AFL season.

The 29-year-old has been one of the Crows’ top performers in 2026, averaging 26.3 disposals across 20 games.

Dawson’s leadership has been particularly inspiring this season, as he continued to lead from the front following the passing of his brother, Jaryd.

His resilience in returning to the field and helping lead the Crows into a second consecutive finals series, combined with his trademark courage in contests, earned him a nomination for the AFLPA’s Most Courageous award.

Adelaide midfielder Sam Berry and defender Wayne Milera have also been nominated for the Most Valuable Player award, while draftee Archie Ludowyke is in the running for the Best First Year Player.

Milera has averaged 25.3 disposals per game, while Berry’s career-best season has included averaging 22.3 possessions.

Ludowyke was selected at the 2025 AFL Draft and made his debut in Round 21 against Essendon, before going on to feature in the Crows’ Round 23 game against Richmond.

The 18-year-old finished his debut game with nine disposals and a goal.

The AFLPA Awards will be announced at the 2026 AFL Awards on Tuesday night.
