Adelaide forward Taylor Walker may seek a move to the wing for the 2020 season.

Speaking on Triple M’s Roo & Ditts on Wednesday morning, Walker revealed he “wouldn’t mind” a run further up the ground.

“I might try and play a little bit (on the wing),” Walker said.

“It’s my idea, I’ve got to speak to Nicksy about it.

“I’ve dropped a little bit of weight, three to four kilograms.

“It’s wishful thinking (but) I’ve had some time to think about it.”

Regarding the vacant hole he would leave in the forward line, Walker said several players could fill the void.

“Fog will play a bit, big Elliott Himmelberg, we’ve got Billy Frampton over,” Walker said.

“There is a lot to choose from… we’ll see how we go.”

Adelaide football director Mark Ricciuto confirmed earlier this week that the Club would not appoint a senior assistant coach for 2020.

Walker backed the decision and said he had full faith the line coaches would step up.

“I had a chat to him (Nicks) about it,” Walker said.

“He’s decided to go by himself and put more onus on the assistant coaches.

“We’ve got great assistant coaches and I look forward to seeing them blossom even more.”

Adelaide’s second-to-fourth-year players return to West Lakes on Wednesday.

Players who have been at the Club for five years or longer will return on Monday.
