Adelaide’s three-time AFLW premiership-winning champion Erin Phillips has etched her name even further into football history, becoming the first woman inducted into the South Australian Football Hall of Fame.

One of the most influential figures in the game, Phillips' induction recognises an extraordinary sporting career and her lasting impact on Australian football.

The former Crow, now 41, was celebrated at the 2026 Magarey Medal presentation at Adelaide Oval on Monday night.

Across six seasons with the Crows, Phillips played 46 games and was instrumental in establishing Adelaide as the AFLW competition’s benchmark club.

The two-time WNBA champion and Olympic basketballer joined the Crows ahead of the AFLW’s inaugural season in 2017, adding another chapter to an already remarkable sporting resume.

Having played football against boys until the age of 13, Phillips seamlessly transitioned back to the sport and quickly established herself as one of the AFLW’s biggest stars.

As Adelaide’s co-captain, Phillips enjoyed a stellar debut season, claiming the AFLW Best and Fairest Medal, AFL Players Association MVP award and the Crows’ Club Champion award.

She capped off the year by producing a best-on-ground performance in Adelaide’s historic premiership victory.

Despite being hampered by injury in 2018, Phillips finished as Adelaide’s joint leading goalkicker before returning to her dominant best in 2019.

That season she again swept the major individual honours and played a pivotal role in the Crows’ second AFLW premiership. Phillips kicked two goals in the Grand Final before suffering a torn ACL in the third quarter, yet still earned best-on-ground honours in one of the most courageous performances in AFLW history.

After playing just two matches in 2020 while recovering from injury, Phillips continued to perform at an elite level across her final seasons in Adelaide colours.

She earned her third All-Australian blazer in 2021 and helped steer the Crows to a third AFLW premiership in April 2022, a fitting end to her playing career with the Club.

Phillips was awarded Adelaide Football Club Life Membership in 2023 and, in 2025, became an inductee into the Australian Football Hall of Fame, joining her father Greg Phillips among the game's greats.

In 2026, she was also inducted into the Adelaide Football Club Hall of Fame.
