Adelaide Captain Jordan Dawson has etched himself further into Crows history, becoming the first Crow to claim the Malcolm Blight Medal four times.

Dawson was awarded the Crows’ highest individual award for a fourth-straight time after polling 158 votes on Friday night.

In five seasons at the Club, four as Captain, Dawson has now finished second, first, equal first, first and first in the Club’s medal count.

This season, Dawson averaged 26.5 disposals across 22 games (including two finals), 4.1 clearances and was rated ‘elite’ across the League for average tackles (5.7) and marks (5.2).

Defender Josh Worrell led the count after Round Six with 36 votes, closely followed by Wayne Milera and Lachlan McAndrew (36 votes apiece).

Milera then jumped ahead with 67 votes, ahead of McAndrew (65) after Round 12, and Dawson was in equal fifth alongside Worrell (57).

Dawson jumped ahead after from Rounds 13-18 with 104 votes, in front of McAndrew, who was on 101, and the Skipper never looked back from there.

Earlier in the evening, Dawson was also awarded the Members’ MVP award (as voted by Members), and the Brian Sando OAM Trophy.

The award was introduced in 2012 in memory of inaugural Crows Club doctor and Life Member Dr Brian Sando OAM, and recognises outstanding and professional attention to detail in the preparation for being an AFL footballer.

McAndrew finished in second place, 23 votes behind Dawson after a stellar campaign as the Crows’ No.1 ruck.

The ruckman missed just one game in 2026 and averaged 32.1 hit-outs across 26 matches (including two finals).

The 26-year-old, who made his Club debut in Round One against Collingwood, also averaged 8.3 hit-outs to advantage, and 4.3 clearances in 2026.
