Key defender Jordon Butts has completed his free agency move to the Western Bulldogs.

The 26-year-old informed the Crows last month he would exercise his unrestricted free agency rights and explore a move back to Victoria.

Butts played 94 games for the Crows across eight seasons.

Adelaide will receive a second round compensation selection, currently Pick 33, in this year’s Telstra AFL Draft.

Crows General Manager List Management Jarryd Roughead wished Butts well for the next chapter of his career.

“Jordon has committed eight years of his life to the Adelaide Football Club and that’s something we’ll forever be grateful for,” Roughead said.

“He’s been an ever-reliable teammate and someone we’ll certainly miss having at the Club.

“We wish him all the best for his next chapter.”
