Adelaide can confirm its intent to add veteran Sydney defender Harry Cunningham to its Rookie List.
Cunningham played 233 games for the Swans across 15 seasons after joining the Club via the Rookie Draft in 2012.
A well-respected leader who has been a member of the Swans leadership group in previous seasons, Cunningham has twice won Sydney’s Best Clubman award and has been a finalist in the AFL’s Jim Stynes Community Award on three occasions.
The agreement will include a pathway into coaching for the 32-year-old once he retires from playing.
Crows Executive General Manager Football Adam Kelly said Cunningham would bring a wealth of experience and leadership to the side.
“We’re delighted Harry will be joining us,” Kelly said.
“An experienced defender with more than 200 games under his belt, he brings so much more than just ability on the field.
“His leadership credentials are established, his football intellect is evident and his coaching ambition brings substance, all of which will be really beneficial to the group.
“More so, Harry’s character is of the highest order, and we are confident that he will be embraced by the Footy Club and that he will make a really positive impact in the years to come.
“We look forward to welcoming Harry, Chelsea and Luella to the Adelaide Football Club.”
