Adelaide would like to thank Scott Burns and Sam Baulderstone for their contributions to the Club’s AFL coaching cohort, as they prepare for the next chapters of their careers.

Burns departs West Lakes after six seasons as a highly respected member of Matthew Nicks' coaching panel, having joined the Crows ahead of the 2021 AFL season.

A former AFL player and experienced coach, Burns played a significant role in the development of Adelaide's playing group during a period of growth for the Club, serving as a senior assistant coach, and forward and backline assistant.

His experience, leadership and ability to build strong relationships made him a valued member of the Club.

Adelaide General Manager of Football Adam Kelly thanked Burns for his significant contribution.

"Scott has been an incredibly important part of our football program for the past six years," Kelly said.

"He brought a wealth of experience and knowledge to our Club and has had a significant influence on the development of our players and staff.

"Scott is someone who cares deeply about people, and the relationships he has built across our football program speak to the quality of person he is.

"We're grateful for everything he has contributed to the Club and wish him and his family all the very best for the future."

Baulderstone, meanwhile, has been appointed senior coach of SANFL club Central District after serving as Adelaide's ruck and midfield development coach for the past three seasons.

The 35-year-old joined the Crows on a part-time basis at the beginning of 2024, before transitioning into the role full-time, working closely with the Club's ruck group and helping support the development of a number of emerging players including Lachlan McAndrew.

Kelly congratulated Baulderstone on earning the opportunity to lead his own program.

"Sam embraced every opportunity during his time with us and made a positive impact on our players and staff," Kelly said.

"He has a strong passion for coaching and development, and we're delighted to see him earn the chance to become a senior coach.

"We thank Sam for his contribution across the past three years and wish him every success at Central District."
