Crows young gun Chloe Bown has been named the Round 10 Telstra AFLW Rising Star nominee after a standout performance against Gold Coast at Unley Oval on Saturday.
Bown, 18, had the best game of her debut season in Adelaide’s 10-point win over the Suns, with a career-high 25 disposals (17 contested), four inside-50s, six tackles, nine clearances and a goal.
The 173cm mid-forward joined the Club after a stellar underage career that included being named captain of last year’s Under-18 All-Australian side. She was also awarded Victoria Metro’s Most Valuable Player at the National Championships.
Bown, a former Oakleigh Chargers product who was taken at Pick 5 in the 2025 Telstra AFLW Draft, has played every game this season transitioning between the midfield and forward lines.
Crows Executive General Manager AFLW Bree Brock said Bown’s Rising Star nomination had come from the diligent work she was putting into her craft both on and off the field.
“It’s always great to see a young player rewarded for their hard work,” Brock said.
“Chloe is playing an important role for us this year and she continues to grow in confidence and develop her game.
“She’s immensely popular within our program, and we couldn’t be happier to see the person and player she is becoming.”
