Rookie ruckman Paul Hunter has been told he will not be offered a contract for the 2020 season.

Hunter has been a consistent performer in Adelaide’s State League team, but has not been able to force his way into the AFL line-up since joining the Club via the 2015 Rookie Draft.

General Manager of List Management and Strategy Justin Reid thanked Hunter for his contribution, adding he had always epitomised the Club’s team-first approach.

“This time of year is always difficult in the AFL when we are required to make list changes, and a number of tough decisions need to be made,” Reid said.

“Paul has been a dedicated and popular member of our playing group over the last four seasons and he will always be welcome at our Club.

“We wish him every success both on and off the field as he enters the next phase of his life.”

The Club is unlikely to make any further list management changes until after the upcoming trade period.
