Elliott Himmelberg capitalised on early opportunities to play seven games for the Crows in a season full of promise.

The mobile, 198cm key forward provided strong hands while also supporting Reilly O’Brien in the ruck.

Having debuted in 2018, the 21-year-old was called up in Round Five and went on to play six games in a row.

Against Port Adelaide in Showdown 46, Himmelberg impressed with 10 contested possessions and a stirring rundown tackle on Xavier Duursma that led to a goal from the boundary.

He booted eight AFL goals, as well as 21 goals in 16 SANFL games.

His State League highlights included 17 disposals, 10 hit-outs and nine contested possessions against Port Adelaide in the SANFL qualifying final, and three-goal hauls against Norwood and Port Adelaide in back-to-back rounds from 12-13

Himmelberg helped keep the Saints at bay in Round Six, with two timely third-quarter goals in the 29-point win at Marvel Stadium.

From 12 disposals, he recorded a then career-high seven contested possessions, five marks and nine hit-outs.
