For the first time in Club history, Adelaide holds pick No. 21 in this year’s draft.

The only Crow to have ever been called with pick No. 21 was Scott Stevens, who was drafted by Sydney in 1999 before being traded to Adelaide in 2004.

Originally from Perth, Stevens played 25 games over four seasons at the Swans and recorded 119 games in his time at West Lakes before he retired in 2011.

Also selected with pick No. 21 was 2018 Brownlow medalist Tom Mitchell under the father-son rule (2011) and Fremantle life member Hayden Ballantyne (2008).

Mitchell became a two-time premiership player in 2014 and 2016 in the Harbour City before moving to Hawthorn in 2017.
There, he became a two-time All Australian in 2017-18 and a back-to-back Peter Crimmins Medal winner.

In addition to winning this year’s Brownlow, he was also named the AFL Players’ Association MVP.

Ballantyne earned his first All Australian selection in 2014, the same year he led Fremantle’s goalkicking with 49 goals.

The skilful small forward sits second on the all-time goalkicking list for the Dockers.
