The Crows have made one change for Saturday night’s blockbuster AFLW clash with the Brisbane Lions at Norwood Oval, recalling key defender Anne Hatchard.

The competitive 18-year-old returns at the expense of Northern Territory utility Tayla Thorn, who has been omitted.

Hatchard played the opening three games of the season before being left out of the team that travelled to Western Australia to play Fremantle.

Hatchard, who is also a talented basketballer, has been recalled to help combat the tall and talented Lions attack led by marquee players Tayla Harris and Sabrina Frederick-Traub.

The winner of the game between the two undefeated sides will move into outright top spot on the AFLW ladder.

The match starts at 6:40pm (local) and entry is free. The game will be broadcast live on Channel 7, Fox Footy and the AFL App. Please check local guides for more details.

Gates open at 12:30pm (local) ahead of a triple-header of women’s footy. A SANFL women’s match between West Adelaide and North Adelaide at 1:30pm will kick off the day. It will be followed by Norwood taking on Glenelg in another SANFL women’s game at 3:40pm.

Girls between the ages of five and 18 are invited to take part in a free ‘Come and Try’ AFL session from 5.30pm – 6.00pm. Participants will also receive giveaways including a Crows Women’s Team poster and player cards.

There will be plenty of free activities for all kids, including face painting and a giant kicking inflatable.

Where possible, supporters are encouraged to make a gold coin donation to the Crows Children’s Foundation upon arrival at Norwood Oval. Funds raised support the Foundation’s charter to help children through health, education and welfare programs.

This week, the Crows Guard of Honour will be formed by 50 children whose lives have been affected by cancer in recognition of the Crows Children’s Foundation’s new charity partner for 2017, Canteen.

The Crows Member Services Team will be on hand, fielding membership enquiries and giving away Crows AFLW Team posters and more. Visit the marquee and enter the Member Draw to be in with the chance to win one of ten AFL Women’s Crows Team signed footballs.

Co-Major Sponsor Workskil Australia are raffling a signed Crows Women’s Team guernsey, with proceeds being donated to the Hutt Street Centre. Visit their booth before half time to enter.
