BIO:

Considered the standout key position player in this year’s draft, Fischer McAsey has the capacity to play at both ends of the ground.

McAsey earned All Australian honours playing in defence at this year’s Under 18 Championships, where his clean hands, intercept marking and ability to read the game were highlights.

He ranked No.1 for contested marks across the carnival and averaged 14.5 disposals and 6.5 marks per game to win Vic Metro’s MVP in a team featuring top draftees Matt Rowell and Noah Anderson.

The Sandringham Dragons product showed he can be a dangerous marking target up forward with 10 marks and three goals against the Dandenong Stingrays in Round 14.

McAsey’s father Chris played one League game for St Kilda in 1983.
