Adelaide Oval will host two Crows double headers in 2020, with the SANFL side set to play ahead of the AFL team in Rounds 10 and 13.

It will be the first time that the SANFL Crows have played a minor round game at Adelaide Oval since they entered the SANFL competition in 2014.

There will be two Showdowns in one day on Sunday, June 14, with the SANFL Crows taking on the Magpies before the two AFL sides go head-to-head.

On Saturday, July 4, South Adelaide will also take on the Crows on Adelaide Oval, ahead of Adelaide’s AFL match with St Kilda.

Adelaide’s SANFL season will start with a trip to Noarlunga, to take on South Adelaide on Saturday, April 4.

The Crows will feature in one Friday night game, at Glenelg in Round Three against the reigning SANFL premiers.

At this stage, four of Adelaide’s matches will be broadcast live on Channel 7 Adelaide – Round Five v Central District, Round Eight v Sturt, Round 10 v Port Adelaide and Round 18 v Port Adelaide.

Crows General Manager Football Administration Phil Harper said the games at Adelaide Oval were a great result for the Club and their members and supporters.

“We are really pleased to be playing in two double headers at Adelaide Oval, as we know this is something our members and supporters have been hoping for,” Harper said.

“It will be great to integrate our two men’s teams together on two game days where our fans will watch and support our younger players.

“It will also give those players another opportunity to experience playing on Adelaide Oval.”

The SANFL finals will begin the weekend of Saturday, August 29 with the grand final being held on Sunday, 20 September.

All finals matches will be played at Adelaide Oval.
