Adelaide’s Darcy Fogarty has been ruled out of Sunday’s Bushfire T20 Showdown at Adelaide Oval.

The Club has made the decision for precautionary reasons with the emerging forward experiencing minor hamstring soreness.

Head of Football Adam Kelly said the decision was not taken lightly but was in the best interests of the Club and the 20-year-old.

“We are fully aware this is an important event for the South Australian community,” Kelly said.

“Darcy has reported minor back and hamstring symptoms and he’s extremely disappointed to miss the cricket match.

“This is a precautionary measure to ensure the rest of his preseason is not impacted.

“We expect him to be training fully by next week.”

Lachlan Murphy will replace Fogarty in the cricket team to face Port Adelaide this Sunday.
