Adelaide captain Rory Sloane has shared his strategies for coping with social distancing and self-isolation in a message to football fans.

Sloane gave his top three tips to keep looking after ourselves, and each other, during these difficult times.

1. Stay connected and check in on each other

Especially your family and friends. I’ve been using the Houseparty App, it’s been really helpful for that. I want to make sure everyone’s mental health is going okay.

2. Keep up your exercise - 30+ minutes a day

Do some exercise. Make sure you get outside, into your backyard or front yard and get some fresh air. A half-hour a day of exercise would be really good for your mental health.

3. Help stop the spread of coronavirus

The best way to do that is by staying at home. If you do go out, make sure when you get home, wash your hands. Warm soapy water for 20 seconds. And stay a metre-and-a-half away from people too. Unless it’s your wife, then make sure you give her plenty of love and attention.

BONUS TIP: Stay safe and keep smiling
