Adelaide forward Ned McHenry is set to make his AFL debut against Port Adelaide on Saturday night at Adelaide Oval.

McHenry, 19, was told the news by captain Rory Sloane in front of the Crows playing group after Thursday’s main training session at West Lakes.

“(He’s) worked his arse off, trained probably harder than anyone I’ve seen that’s come into the footy club,” Sloane said.

“Plays with aggression, trains with aggression and I learned something today - he’s going to debut this weekend too…

“Neddy McHenry.”
