Adelaide has appointed Channel 10 senior sports reporter Ian Shuttleworth as its new General Manager Media Relations.

Shuttleworth will work alongside GM Communications David Burtenshaw, who will be in charge of the Club’s digital media operations. Current media manager Joc O’Connell recently moved to a role in the football department.

Crows Chief Operating Officer Nigel Smart said: “This is a great senior appointment for the Club and will allow us to continue to meet the growing demands and opportunities presented in these communications areas.”

Shuttleworth is a multi-award winning journalist, who has enjoyed a successful broadcast career spanning more than a decade. He has covering the world’s biggest sporting events, including Olympic and Commonwealth Games and has been part of Channel 10’s broadcasts of the Australian Formula One Grand Prix, NBL and ANZ Netball Championship.

“The Adelaide Football Club is one of the most recognisable sporting brands, and I couldn’t be more excited about coming on board,” said Shuttleworth, who will start with the Crows on February 4.

“I look forward to working with the many highly motivated people at West Lakes.”
