Bernie Vince, Brodie Martin, Brad Moran, Matthew Jaensch and Ricky Henderson are among 11 Crows allowed to play in SANFL trials this weekend.
Adelaide Football Club’s general manager football operations Phil Harper said the AFL had approved everyone on the Club’s request list. He said the Crows withdrew requests for two players - Sam Jacobs (hamstring) and Jared Petrenko (abdomen) - when it became clear they would not be ready to play this weekend.
Vince, who missed the first two weeks of the NAB Cup and NAB Challenge while on the way back from knee surgery, will line up for the Eagles in a bid to win a spot in the first 22 for Adelaide’s season-opener against Hawthorn on March 26.
Jaensch and Martin, who hurt a knee against Carlton two weeks ago but returned to full training this week, will also be out to impress with Sturt while Henderson (concussed against Carlton on March 4) returns to Central District. Moran will have a run at West Adelaide.
Tony Armstrong (North), Jarryd Lyons, James Sellar (Glenelg), Will Young (Norwood), Myke Cook (South) and Luke Thompson (Eagles) will also play for their SANFL clubs.
Rookie- listed players are automatically eligible to play, with Chris Schmidt, Sam Martyn, Jake von Bertouch, Tim Milera, Matthew Wright, Aidan Riley and Lachlan Roach lifting the total number of Crows in action to 18.
