It’s time to get serious and start settling your 2011 Dream Team line-up before round one arrives.

And the best way to get an advantage over the other hundreds of thousands of Dream Team competitors is to know your own Club players backwards, so you can find good value from your selections.

To help you pick a winning team, Crows insider and self-proclaimed Dream Team whiz ‘Mr W’ has given www.afc.com.au a rundown on some of the Crows he thinks are worth considering.

Dangerfield: The kamikaze kid has been playing more in the midfield in this preseason and will be looking to increase his DT output this year. Moderately priced ($276,900 forw/mid), the youngster has all the potential to become a star.

Douglas: After a breakout year in 2010, you will have to pay top dollar ($366,200) for Dougie in 2011 - but he is worth every penny. He gets plenty of possessions, tackles and can kick a goal - on top of that he rarely misses a game with injury.

Gunston: Fresh from a premiership with Central District in the SANFL, Jack will be looking for more opportunities at the top level in 2011. Keep an eye on him ($164,000) as he is full of talent.

Jacobs: The big sauce is an exciting prospect, highlighted by his 44 hit outs in a final last year for Carlton. He moves around the ground well and if he can get over his hamstring issues from the pre season he will be a handy addition to your ruck group (at $289,300).

Knights: Chris will be looking to stay more consistently out on the park this year after a horror run of injuries in 2010. His versatility means he can play in the midfield and up forward and on top of his huge fitness base, this means he can accumulate lots of DT points. As a bonus, he is way underpriced ($221,900) and will feature in many teams this year.

Martin: Everyone was relieved for Brodie when the news came out that he hadn’t injured his ACL for a second time. Has been playing across half back in the pre season - perfect for picking up a few extra kicks and marks. ($232,600)

McKernan: The Big Mac has been starring in the forward this pre season. Not playing any games last year means he is a rock bottom price ($97,600) and can also be selected as a forward or defender.

Moran: Brad spent last year out with knee issues but is now fully fit and raring to go. His versatility means he can play anywhere on the ground - and he’s cheap at $97,600.

Otten: Spent all of last year getting to know ‘Bobby’ Moran in rehab as they both overcame their knee injuries. As he missed the whole year he will be a cheap option ($142,400) and is expected to start in many DT line-ups. Listed as a defender, he should play a fair bit in the midfield.

Sloane: A tackling machine! His work rate is high which will help him rack up some huge numbers. Recently scored over 100 DT points in a pre-season game. Consider strongly at $263,100.

Smith: The Crows’ first round draft pick last year hasn’t looked out of place in the big league and will be looking to play some games in 2011. Only $108,500 so keep an eye on our round one team.

Symes: Brad has completed his full pre season after being hampered by knee and wrist injuries in recent years. He can rack up some big numbers and is listed as a defender at $354,100. Strongly consider.

Tambling: Blinga has crossed over from Richmond and will be looking for some game time at West Lakes this year. Has played across half back in the pre-season and good be a bargain at $237,300.

Luke Thompson: Another exciting defender coming through the ranks, and after being promoted off the rookie list will be looking to play this year. Keep him on your radar at only $92,500.

Scott Thompson: A DT star, he is one of the most underpriced elite midfielders in the league. At a touch under $400,000, put him in.

And a special mention to Callinan: Unlucky to be struck by injury just before the start of the season, he would have been pushing for a round 1 debut. Keep an eye on him for a possible cash cow (only $80,400) in the second half of the season as he regains full fitness.
