Adelaide has delisted three rookies - Chris Schmidt, Jake von Bertouch and Lachlan Roach.

Schmidt, 22, played 18 AFL games in three seasons with the Crows. The midfielder/defender from West Adelaide started his AFL career with the Brisbane Lions, where he played two games in 2007.

Roach, from North Adelaide, and von Bertouch (Woodville-West Torrens) both spent one season on the rookie list.

Crows football operations general manager Phil Harper said: “We wish all these lads the best for the future. Chris, in particular, worked hard for his opportunities with us despite having a bad run with injuries.”

Adelaide will upgrade 2011 rookies Aidan Riley and Matthew Wright to the primary list for next season. Both rookies made their AFL debut this year, Wright playing 19 games and Riley five.

Mature age rookie Ian Callinan, who is preparing to play in an SANFL grand final on Sunday, is likely to be retained either as a rookie or on the primary list. Sam Martyn, a former New South Wales scholarship holder, will stay on the rookie list.

Harper said Adelaide was unlikely to make any delistings from its primary list until the completion of trade week, which runs from October 10-17.
