Peter Jonas has joined the Adelaide Crows coaching staff, signing a three year deal.Jonas has spent four years with the Swans, during a successful period for the club. His decision was swayed by the opportunity to return to South Australia and reunite with the Adelaide Football Club."After four great years in Sydney I thought that, at the age of 47, the timing was right to head home," Jonas said."I was offered the opportunity to join the Adelaide footy club on the coaching panel and that, combined with the fact the family were keen to head home made the decision much easier.”Jonas, who has previously spent time on Adelaide’s match committee and also as a runner, returns to the Crows with a wealth of experience. Jonas played with North Melbourne, was Central District’s first premiership Coach in the SANFL, he had a coaching stint with St. Kilda as well as his successful time with the Swans.“Peter is an experienced coach and will blend in with the current group,” Crows Senior Coach Neil Craig said. “I have not decided at this stage the portfolio of the group, which will happen in the next few weeks.”
