Adelaide forward Taylor Walker has identified former Eagle James Rowe as a “big chance” to play Round One.

On Tuesday, Walker told Triple M’s Roo & Ditts that several young Crows had already staked their claim for a debut in the Club’s opening match of 2021.

“I reckon we’ll see a guy we picked up from the Eagles (Woodville-West Torrens),” Walker said, when asked who could debut in Round One,

“I think (James) Rowe is a big chance.

“And don’t be surprised if (Riley) Thilthorpe or (Sam) Berry is knocking on the door as well.

“Luke Pedlar is also a good chance… the young boys are going really well.”

Adelaide will play an internal trial game this Saturday following match sim and extended sessions at training.

“We had a good little hitout last Thursday, we played four 20s at training,” Walker said.

That was awesome to see the young guys put their skills on show.

“We’ve got our first official trial this Saturday.”

Away from football, Walker and wife Ellie are settling into life with a full house - thanks to the arrival of second son Louis last month.

Sibling rivalry, with older brother Hugo, already appears in full swing.

“The other day, Ellie let him (Hugo) into Louis’ room and he climbed up on a chair and pulled down a bookshelf,” Walker said.

“I’m not much of a handyman but I’m looking at two big holes hanging out of the wall, bit of gyprock (had) come off.”
