Adelaide forward Taylor Walker has named the Phil Walsh Showdown (39) as his favourite clash with cross-town rivals the Power.

Walker captained the Crows to a three-point victory over Port Adelaide in front of a record crowd (54,468) at Adelaide Oval - played in honour of late senior coach Walsh.

“I reckon it was the (Showdown) post-Phil Walsh,” Walker told Triple M’s Roo & Ditts on Tuesday.

“It was a massive week or two for both footy clubs, given he’d played a role at each.

“It was an emotional game of football and it went down to the wire.

“That was certainly one of my favourites.”

On Saturday, the Crows and Power will play Showdown 49 with the ledger square at 24 wins each.

To mark the occasion, Roo & Ditts co-host Mark Ricciuto put Walker through his paces with a ‘lie-detector’ test.

  • Will Rory Sloane play?
    I think so.
  • If you could stop a Port Adelaide player from playing, who would it be?
    Conor Rozee. Love him.
  • What will you do when the Port crowd sings never tear us apart?
    Sing along with them.
  • Who will win the Showdown medal after the Crows win?
    James Rowe.
