Key defender Nick Murray will return to Adelaide’s side for the Round 20 clash with the Bulldogs in Ballarat.

Murray missed the Crows’ match against Hawthorn due to the AFL’s Concussion Protocol but has been given the all-clear to play on Saturday.

James Rowe will also return to the side after booting five goals in Adelaide’s reserves scratch match on the weekend.

Lachlan Sholl and Billy Frampton have been omitted.

Assistant Coach Scott Burns said captain Rory Sloane and forward Lachlan Murphy had recovered well from injury concerns.

“I can report that Sloaney is good. He didn’t do much training (but) did enough running,” Burns said.

“We are really happy with how everyone has got through.”

Burns said the final 22 was a difficult decision ahead of tough conditions against a strong Bulldogs side

“At the moment we think it’s going to be pretty wet and windy out there as well so that (had) some implications with the team that we picked,” he said.

“It’s a great challenge because we rate the Doggies very, very highly.”

Frampton, David Mackay, Riley Thilthorpe and Luke Pedlar have been named as emergencies with one to be confirmed as the medical substitute one hour before the game.

Saturday’s clash commences at 11.50am (12.10pm AEST) and will be televised live on Fox Footy.
