Brodie Smith
Adelaide’s first selection in the 2010 draft, Smith came to the Crows as a ready-made player from Henley and Woodville-West Torrens. The SA-local debuted in Round One, 2011 and his long-range goals quickly became a feature of his game. Alongside Rory Laird, he created one of the league’s top half-back duos. He became an All Australian and earned an 22Under22 selection in 2014, after averaging 23 disposals per game and five rebound 50s. Smith played a key role in Adelaide’s grand final run in 2017, however his season ended with a heartbreaking ACL rupture in the qualifying final against GWS Giants. Despite this, a meticulous approach to his rehab saw him return to the field just 317 days later in the SANFL, while a pair of AFL games followed. In 2019, he played all 22 games and finished fifth in Adelaide's Club Champion count.
