Returned home to South Australia in 2016 to add AFLW footballer to her long list of sporting achievements. The two-time WNBA champion and Olympic basketballer made an equally successful transition to football, claiming the AFLW Best and Fairest, AFL Players’ Association MVP and the Crows’ Club Champion award in the inaugural season. The prolific ball-winner was integral in the Crows’ Premiership triumph, named best on ground. Despite battling injury in 2018, she was Adelaide’s joint leading goalkicker. A fit Phillips dominated in 2019 as well, sweeping the awards again. Kicked two goals in the Grand Final win before suffering a torn ACL, but still won best afield honours.
