Adelaide has finalised its playing squad for next season.

The Crows welcomed ten new faces to the Club during the offseason exchange and draft periods in preparation for Season 2016.

Four players were added during October’s Trade Period. Skilful defender Curtly Hampton was recruited from Greater Western Sydney, young South Australian Dean Gore returned home from Geelong, long-kicking Magpie Paul Seedsman and Carlton forward Troy Menzel were also traded to the Crows.

Crows close busy Trade Period

Adelaide secured two promising 18-year-olds at Tuesday’s National Draft at the Adelaide Convention Centre. Central District livewire Wayne Milera was secured with the Club’s first selection at pick 11, before the Crows landed tall defender Tom Doedee from the Geelong Falcons with Adelaide’s second and final live selection at pick 17. Fellow defender Jake Kelly was also officially upgraded to Adelaide’s senior list on draft night.

Crows add speed, strength

The Club completed its 2016 squad by securing Redland ruckman Paul Hunter and West Adelaide premiership forward Jonathon Beech at Friday’s Rookie Draft. Former basketballer Hugh Greenwood and Murray Bushrangers junior Alex Keath were also confirmed as Category B rookies.

Adelaide has the maximum of 40 players on its primary list. The Crows now have six rookies including the Club’s Category B pair.

The Crows farewelled retirees James Podsiadly and Brent Reilly, delisted Matthew Wright, Brodie Martin, Sam Siggins, Jack Osborn and Anthony Wilson, and traded Patrick Dangerfield and Sam Kerridge.
