Several key Crows have their sights set on next Thursday’s Qualifying Final against Greater Western Sydney.

Captain Taylor Walker (toe) and defender Daniel Talia (ankle) are expected to return for the Club’s first final against the Giants.

Both players missed the trip to Perth for last Sunday’s clash with West Coast at Domain Stadium.

Crows General Manager of High Performance Matt Hass said early signs were positive for the pair.

“(They) continue to improve,” Hass said.

“We’ll build up their loads over the next week and expect them both to play (next) Thursday against the Giants.”

Vice-captain Rory Sloane underwent an appendectomy after reporting abdominal pain on Tuesday morning.

The Club also expects the All Australian nominee to recover in time for next week’s blockbuster at Adelaide Oval.

“Rory Sloane experienced some abdominal pain, was assessed by our Club doctor and sent to hospital,” Hass said.

“The Club remains really hopeful that he’ll be available next Thursday to play the Giants.”

Defender Alex Keath was Adelaide’s only injury concern from the trip to Domain Stadium.

Keath, 25, suffered a heavy knock late in the loss to the Eagles and did not return to the field.

“Unfortunately, he failed his concussion test at the end of the game,” Hass said.

“He’s pulled up reasonably well. He’ll go into the concussion protocol this week but we expect him to be fine (next) Thursday.”

Versatile tall Andy Otten made a successful return from an ankle injury in the Club’s final SANFL outing against South Adelaide on Saturday.

Draftee Jordan Gallucci is in the early stages of his recovery after undergoing surgery on a fractured jaw.

Elliott Himmelberg (foot) and Ellis-Yolmen (knee) remain on the Club’s long-term injury list.
