Crows co-captain Chelsea Randall, tough midfielder Ebony Marinoff and reliable defender Sarah Allan have been nominated for the AFLW Players Association’s MVP Award, to be announced at an event in Melbourne on Monday.

The trio was voted by their peers as the most valuable players for the Crows in 2018, with all three having incredibly consistent seasons.

Adelaide’s other captain, Erin Phillips, won the inaugural AFLW Players’ MVP in 2017.

After continuously going back with the flight of the ball and getting crunched in packs all season, Randall has also been nominated for the Most Courageous award – an award she won in 2017.

Electric forward Ruth Wallace has been nominated for the Best First Year Player award after kicking seven goals in her debut season.

Randall and Phillips have both been nominated for the Best Captain award, with Randall and GWS’s Courtney Gum the only players eligible for three awards.

All AFLW players will vote for their MVP on a 3, 2, 1 basis from the nominees of the other seven clubs.

The player or players with the highest number of votes, together with the other award winners, will be announced at the AFLW Players’ MVP Awards ceremony on Monday.
