Adelaide forward Riley Knight is set to play his first competitive game of football since April, named in the SANFL Crows side to take on Norwood on Saturday afternoon.

Midfielder Sam Gibson also returns after hamstring tightness and will add valuable experience to the side in his State League debut.

Midfielder Jordan Boyle has also come into the squad for his first SANFL game, after being cleared on permit from Central Districts.

Boyle will train with the Adelaide development squad for the rest of the year after his local club, Salisbury North, was kicked out of the Adelaide Footy League for the remainder of the season after a player’s eight-week striking ban.

Development squad members Will Rivers and Aidan Offe are the other players included in the extended squad.

Jackson Edwards (ankle), Andrew McPherson (hamstring) and Michael McMahon (unavailable) are the outs from last week’s team.

Adelaide’s clash with Norwood will be a fundraiser for Motor Neurone Disease, with a ‘Big Freeze’ getting underway at 12pm, where AFL captain Taylor Walker and star forward Eddie Betts will be dunked.

The match at The Parade starts at 1.10pm, with the game to be broadcast live on Channel 7 Adelaide from 1pm.
