Veteran Crow Richard Douglas has once again been named the winner of the Phil Walsh Best Team Man Award.

For the third time in his career, the reliable midfielder was recognised for his dedication to the team and conduct on and off the field in 2018.

In his 13th AFL season, the 31-year-old is now a back-to-back winner after also receiving the award in 2017.

He also won it in 2013, making him the second player alongside Mark Bickley to have been crowned on three occasions.

Douglas played 17 games in 2018 to average 19 disposals and just under a goal per game.

In Round Seven, he starred with 28 possessions and two goals in his side’s strong win over the Blues.

Despite missing five games through injury, Douglas continued to have an impact in the midfield and ranked sixth at the Club for inside 50s with 57.

After signing on for 2019, the 237-gamer is hoping to become the ninth Crow to play 250 games for the Club.

Current players Eddie Betts, Taylor Walker and Sam Jacobs have also taken out the award, along with past players Mark Riccuito, Matthew Robran and Matthew Clarke.

Adelaide’s Best Team Man award has been presented every year since the Club's inaugural season and recognises the most selfless player who lives and breathes 'team first'.

It was renamed in 2015 to honour late Crows coach Phil Walsh and his ‘team-first’ mantra.
