Adelaide defender Luke Brown has been recalled for Thursday night’s clash with Hawthorn.
Brown returns after missing the Club’s most recent game against St Kilda with a fractured cheekbone.
He replaces half-forward Riley Knight, who has been squeezed out of the team that beat the Saints.
Onballers Harrison Wigg and David Mackay, and ruckman Reilly O’Brien are the emergencies.
Coach Don Pyke said selection pressure was building, with only a few players unavailable through injury.
“We’ve got some depth and some guys challenging for spots,” Pyke said.
“It means guys can’t afford to rest. They’ve got to keep striving to get better or they might find themselves out of the team.”
Forward Mitch McGovern will play a second game in the SANFL.
McGovern made a successful return from a serious hamstring injury at SANFL level on June 10.
The Crows have opted for a cautious approach with the versatile goalkicker, who has played just one match in nine weeks and was unable to add to his game time because of the bye last weekend.
Wingman Paul Seedsman will also play in Adelaide’s SANFL team, which will be named on Thursday.
Seedsman (groin) joined McGovern in returning from injury at State League level prior to the bye.
It was the Collingwood recruit’s first game at any level for the year, and Pyke said Seedsman needed to rebuild his match fitness before being considered for AFL selection.
“It was great to get ‘Seeds’ back and he pulled up really well,” Pyke said.
“He needs at least one more (SANFL game), or probably a couple more to be honest, to build back to AFL level.”
Midfielder Brad Crouch will play his 50th game against the Hawks on Thursday night.

The top-placed teams from the recent DCNS Crows Cup – an initiative developed and run by Crows Women’s co-captain Chelsea Randall – will participate in curtain-raisers from 5:20pm. Participants will also form the guard of honour for the Crows as they run out onto Adelaide Oval.
On Thursday night, the Crows will be out to defeat Hawthorn at Adelaide Oval for the first time.

Adelaide’s SANFL side will take on Central District at Elizabeth on Saturday afternoon.
